About the Program

The Specialty Coffee Association of America (SCAA) has previously produced the Golden Cup Award, which was designed to recognize coffee purveyors who have proven their ability to brew coffee to defined recommendations for quality and are devoted to maintaining this level of quality. The award is a testament to skill in preparation as well as equipment management, two important elements towards delivering a perfect cup.

As of December 1, 2014, this program is suspended, in order to allow SCAA leadership including a panel of subject matter experts in brewing to review and update the program, providing maximum benefit to future participants.
